Because it’s a family tradition
My minor obsession with the Martins is evident in many albums we have up here. In short, I have been shooting Stacy and Robert before the knot was tied. And now, with two gorgeous children, and an amazing year they have had, we once again got together for pictures. It’s our annual tradition. Darling Kaiden comes running right up, giving me a hug with the biggest smile. He simply shines. And whereas little princess Kynlei takes more time to warm up, we always get a smile. Always. We chose Rob Flemming Park in the Woodlands, Texas for our backdrop this time. OMG I love this place!!! And yes, I can bring the bench for your family shoot too!
Flexibility at family shoots
One of the biggest compliments I get is when someone turns to me and says “You are so patient. Thank you! ” Listen closely. Kids will be kids. Kids need to run. They need to scream, and play, and do all of the wonderful things they do if you want to get the genuine smiles. Playtime is built into every single shoot. Most of the time, especially for my annuals and my first timers, playtime is at the beginning. Why? Because Kaiden knows when he gets there, that I’m going to let him play, and mommy wants good pictures. So he knows the game. If I smile, mommy won’t stop me from playing because Mrs. Heather will say I can play. Kynlei is getting that concept too, and there towards the end of the shoot was beaming about her new found freedom. Stacy and Robert know the drill. We get to catch up, the kids get to run, and it’s very relaxed now. This shoot is a true testament to how the system works. Just see for yourself!
