A special bridal session for a special bride!
There is quite literally no other bride I would describe using the word “Texan” than Lauren. She very quickly volunteered to model for my Austin shoots, and when I found out that we could get access to the Capital, I kinda kept it a secret for a little while. I knew, beyond a doubt, she would be elated. I called, made the arrangements for us to come and when, and found out all the rules. When it was go time, I let her in on the secret plan. To say she was excited is an understatement, and she has been waiting very patiently for this session to be posted. Her Maggie Sottero gown looks phenomenal here, might I add.
Selecting the perfect settings
When you have a train like Lauren’s, stairs are a must. I’m certain she hated me by the end, between her dress and all the climbing. But we both knew the banisters and stair cases would have to be used. We wanted to be out front as well, but due to unforeseen renovations, the scaffolding on the face of the building hindered that. Nevertheless, every single staircase, banister, and archway became our playground. I love how the shoot turned out. Another wonderful thing is that in the dead of summer, this was inside and air conditioned. Additionally, this was shot near closing all the way into the evening. We ended the shoot with the Fallen Officers Memorial. Hauntingly beautiful if you ask me. Enjoy!!
