Samantha and Thomas are the kind of couple everyone should know. If you don’t have a pair like them in your life, find one. They are easy going, and loads of fun. Their hobbies and interests are the things adventures are made of, and the stories are captivating in a way that makes you lose track of time. It’s hard to find couples like that. So, when I found out that both of them had deep connections to the outdoors and wildlife, Mercer Botanical Gardens was, well, a natural choice (pun fully intended ya’ll it’s like 1 AM). Every time I journey up to Humble to shoot the gardens, they have changed in some way. Even if you shoot the same exact spots, each week brings about new and exciting developments there, and this trip was no exception. The flowers were thick, and vibrant in a way I had never seen here before. Almost like something out of a fairy tale. And we cannot forget the stars of our show: Shyner and Aster their Short Haired Pointers. The boys made me work for it, but I found myself laughing hysterically at their faces and antics. Like shooting with two 5 year olds, they reminded me why 1) I shoot in jeans when working with dogs, and 2) why I love dogs so much. I cannot wait for the shoots to come and am delighted they have chosen me as their photographer! Enjoy!
