Most of you will recognize Kristin from the whimsical Galveston engagement shoot we did with the parrots. Her bridals has to top it. When an artists, adventurer, and renaissance woman gets married, the portraits can be nothing short of perfection. Kristin delivered. We started out at Historic Kempner Park in Galveston, Texas, the future wedding site for our darling couple. Next we journeyed to the San Luis Resort Hotel And Spa, for pictures with their gorgeous waterfall and rock scapes. Lastly, we drove down I45 and ended up at the last tree in a sea of oyster reefs, just in time for sunset. Kristin made her headpiece, the birdcage veil complimenting her feathers and vintage couture bridal gown. The feathers are from each of 4 parrots she has cared for, and her bouquet was her own creation as well. I cannot wait to show everyone the wedding, as she was one of my most liberating and artistic shoots to date. Quite the joy to work with, and her mom is the kind of Mother – of – the- Bride that brings absolute joy and magic to the shoot. I absolutely loved that she knew exactly how involved to be, without overpowering her daughter. You could tell she took pride in watching her daughter beaming, and celebrated these moments just like we did.
