Princesses, Castles, and Stained Glass Windows

Coran is the epitome of a princess bride. Her bridal session was no exception. She found the perfect little white chapel with stained glass windows, antique wood floors, and an intimate feel. Katy’s First Baptist Church has it all. So, if you are looking for the picturesque little white chapel with stained glass windows, this is your place. Not to be outdone by the stained glassed windows was Coran’s dress. She so proudly announced that her wedding dress was special. It has pockets. If we needed a kleenex? Coran had them. In her pockets. Lip gloss? It was in the pockets. At one point, I just started asking her for things because I knew the answer, but it made her light up to think all the things we could hide in the pockets on her wedding day.

Bridal Perfection

This shoot is truly a classic example of why we shoot bridals before. We took them at the church, because her actual wedding would not be in a church. We would be saying I Do under a giant prehistoric T-Rex in lieu of a pulpit and cross. So what’s a girl to do when she wants a church element, but we aren’t getting married in a church? Shoot the bridals there. She made a mock bouquet of the wedding day-ish flowers, did her own makeup and hair, and came ready to stop the show. And of course, if a stopsign was needed, it was in….her pockets. Because her David’s Bridal dress, had pockets.

I hope you enjoy this album as much as Coran loves her pockets. Truth be told, if I ever get around to doing a 20th anniversary vow renewal or something, I’m really hoping Maggie Sottero has a dress with pockets. Because that just might be a deal breaker for me.
